Adoption Process

Adoption donations are $250-$500 for canines, $120 for felines, and $100 for rabbits. The donation helps cover medical expenses, including but not limited to: spay/neuter, microchip with free registration, vaccines (initial set based on age, may need more boosters with your vet), intestinal parasite screening and deworming, FeLV testing for felines, heartworm testing for canines (if over 6 months, positive dogs will be started on treatment), and current on heartworm/flea prevention. Payments can be made via cash, check, PayPal, or Credit Card. Payments can also be made by credit card or PayPal ($5 fee per transaction).

To the best of our abilities, Kat Vet strives to follow Humane Pro's Adopters Welcome policies. Adopters Welcome highlights an approach to adoptions that embraces community members, encourages them to adopt, and helps them and their pets succeed. The approach also acknowledges the connection among all local adoption agencies and the impact adoptions, or lack of adoptions, can have on all of the animals in a community.

Kat Vet wants you to ADOPT - from us or any shelter or rescue!

We also offer foster to adopt options for many of our pets! For puppies and kittens, the foster to adopt period is generally 1 week or until the next adoption event. For adult dogs and cats, the foster to adopt period is generally 2 weeks, until the next adoption event, or until/if we receive another qualified applicant.
